ThyroChek® tests are manufactured by Screening Devices Canada, Inc., a Canadian corporation located in Hatfield Point, New Brunswick.
Shareholders in the company are 20 Maritime business people who are part of the First Angel Network Association of Halifax, the Southwest Community Business Development Corporation, Harvey and a US investment group with a distinct interest in thyroid health. Additional financing has come from CBDC Charlotte/Kings as well as Enterprise Saint John.
SD Canada is a product development, marketing and sales company focused on point of care tests for front line health care. Bringing ThyroChek to the US market has been its first activity. It is FDA regulated and CE marked. Several more thyroid health related products are planned for a market that is described as $1.2 billion US.
